BLUE CHALCEDONY Blue chalcedony is a quartz whose hues range from gray blue to a blue tinged with pink. Chalcedony is a member of a micro-crystoline family of quartz that ranges in color from white agates and red carnelians to the apple green chrysoprase and black onyx. Native Americans believed chalcedony was a sacred stone and used it in tribal spiritual ceremonies.
